Today's comment: Here's an oil sketch I did from a model in the studio a couple of weeks ago. It took about three hours.
Since I photographed it, I have actually made a few changes. I eliminated that little "flourish" line at the bottom of her foot (I thought it was too precious)
and I softened the shape of her rib cage on the right, which my studio partner told me looked odd. She was right. I find it very helpful
to have someone with "fresh eyes" take a look at anything I've done because someone else can always see something you can't. It's like
being a writer and having an editor, or being an athlete and having a coach. No matter how good you are, you always need the objective eye.
